“Hot Off the Press” at Geva Theatre Center’s Fielding Nextstage Feb. 21-23, 2014
BIODANCE is thrilled to collaborate for the first time in a shared concert with Present Tense Dance at Geva Theatre Center’s Fielding Nextstage Feb. 21-23, 2014! Save-the-Date for new world premieres by both companies, including the BIODANCE premiere of Heidi Latsky’s “Solo Countersolo!”
University of Rochester’s Meliora Dance Project
BIODANCE appears as a special guest in collaboration with Sound ExChange at the Meliora Dance Project’s presentation of “Honesty” on October 12, 2013 at 7pm in Spurrier Dance Studio at UR. Joined by student dance groups Ballet Performance Group, Louvre Performance Ensemble and Axom (Ethiopian Dance), BIODANCE will present an adaption of John Cage’s “In a Landscape” from its recent project Anomaly with Sound ExChange.
“Innovation Celebration” at the Rochester Museum and Science Center Nov. 1, 2013
BIODANCE, Sound ExChange and W. Michelle Harris will reprise excerpts of “Anomaly” as part of the Rochester Museum and Science Center’s “Innovation Celebration.” We are are proud to donate this performance to contribute to this Benefit Event for our community partner and collaborators, RMSC and the Strasenburgh Planetarium. BIODANCE premiered D. Chase Angier’s Letter to the World 1.5 and reprised Smith’s No Dancing Allowed on June 8 and 9, 2013 at School of the Arts in Rochester, NY. BIODANCE was honored to share this collaborative bill with Bill Evans Dance Company, Futurpointe Dance, and Geomantics Dance Theater.
No Dancing Allowed at Hochstein
No Dancing Allowed offered choreographic premieres from Missy Pfohl Smith, Eran Hanlon, Laura Regna and Courtney World at Hochstein Performance Hall on Nov. 30, 2012.
